Today, Stephen with Waterproof Solutions we're looking at a home with an improper, sloppy repair done by a contractor who didn't care.
Let's follow along as Stephen talks about this home and what was done wrong.

So this is Steven with Waterproof Solutions. Donna & Wes, thanks for having me out. I guess the first thing we'll talk about is, the improper bracing that's been done.
We're not regulated here, so things happen wherever they want and however they want. But by no means are we ever to be using a little self-tapping screws, barely even making it into that piece of wood. That was not even in. These aren't even tight. This isn't doing anything. This is ridiculous. I bet they just stuck them on top of the footing. Those are supposed to be the three floor joists.
So did we look at our backyard? Have we done anything to take care of why this is happening? No.
This is a mess. This is a mess.
And the company that did this crap, they should be they should be sued.
But the problem is, by the time you get done suing them, it cost you a fortune to even do it. This is terrible. The reason why this stuff all bags out, it starts to fill up, stuff goes to the bottom. They talk about it being antimicrobial. Still, things live behind it a lot.
Look at this. This is just a nice little spot. Pan down there and take a look at that. This is just a nice little spot we can see. I hate to think of what we don't see. So, what we're seeing here is a real, real bad idea.
This is a wall in front of a wall. Now this footprint shows how the house was built properly. And here's our footprint as we look towards the front of the house here. This is not supposed to be solid. That wall goes in. You see the forms of the wall there? That's what the floor joists were, and then they painted them black to make them look nice.
And you could see the old segregated concrete because it wasn't vibrated at all, and it was poured. But this was added in front of that wall because that wall has damage to the bottom of it. So, then they built this little wall out here and capped it. At the end of the day, this is why we get, inspections on things. Thanks.
