Hi, guys! Thanks for joining me. Today we’re talking repairing a cast in place foundation.

The Problem

The 38-foot-long basement wall in this house has moved laterally and we need to stick some soldier beams on it.

We’re also going to remove a berm that was supposed to redirect the water away from the house. Instead, it directed water towards it.

The Waterproof Solution

We’ll put in a drain tile system and a sump pump. It will discharge out and away from the house using a downspout. And that will take the “why” away.

Once that’s out of the way, we’ll go ahead and fix the wall by putting five soldier beams on six-foot centers. But the wall is built on 3-foot centers, so we’ll have to see where its beams are set and move a little of the plumbing around to do it.

But we’re going to get this wall fixed!
