Drain Tile System Needed
It’s a typical cast in place foundation that doesn’t have a drain tile system. It has a makeshift one that has been working pretty well up to this point, but we had a waterline break next door.
The Waterproof Solution
So how the house sits in the ground, this wall, as well as this back wall kind of back like a dam. So we’re going to be putting a drain tile system in that’s going to go ahead. And you walk back with me. We’re going to bring it all the way under and all the way back, we’re going to come up to the front of this bathroom. We do not want to go into there because we don’t want to ruin anything.
This will then get injected with close cell, but now we’ll be able to catch this water. When the water main broke next door, it end up flooding this whole entire part to where the all the carpet and everything else. The water ruined most of the backside of the basement. So this can’t happen again. So we’re going to have to change this and upgrade and put now a whole bunch of drain tile in along the house, along the wall here and back around.
We’re going to have to change this discharge to take it to the back. That’s another story. But at the end of the day, we’re going to go and put something together for you to take care of this. And we appreciate the opportunity. My name is Steven Burton with Waterproofed Solutions.
