One of the few guarantees we have in life is that things will change. And this is an exciting change.

The Waterproof Solutions family is delighted to welcome Steve Heinrichs as our new owner. Steve brings a fresh perspective and a firm commitment to quality, building on the legacy that Stephen Burton established. He prioritizes customer satisfaction and understands the industry inside and out. Under Steve’s leadership, Waterproof Solutions will continue to grow, evolve, and deliver the reliable service our customers' trust.

Burton will still be around, supporting and guiding Steve as he finds his footing in our business and community. And we will miss his endless energy. But this passing of the scepter was not the result of someone reading an ad online or even word-of-mouth discovery. Stephen Burton and Steve Heinrichs are friends.

We sat down with Steve to get to know him recently and asked him a few questions. The following is what we learned.

Steve has been a busy guy! Steve has 3 children and 6 grandchildren and he spends as much time with his family as he can. He's worked for Pepsi, the fire department, and ran Snow Pro for the last eight years.

Steve is a native of St. Louis, and—in addition to the aforementioned careers—has made a career in real estate development - having bought, remodeled and sold over 200 homes over the years. That's how he met Stephen Burton. Steve was impressed with Burton's commitment to customer service, integrity, faith, and learned that they shared a love of old cars. It didn't take them long to become friends. When Steve found out that Burton was ready to retire and sell this business, Steve made him an offer.

Steve has a warehouse in the heart of the historic Lemp District full of autos and, as he calls them, "other man cave toys." Steve and Stephen attend many of the same automotive rallies and car shows. In fact, over the years, he's actually sold several classic autos to Burton.

When we asked Steve what he liked best about working with homeowners, he replied, "I like helping people and helping them understand their problem and the solution. Why things are happening, what can be done about them."

He also loves the customer's response after he's addressed their problem. "'Great thing is when the customer calls up and they have a dry basement and hug you."

We are excited about our new leadership and can't wait to get to know him even better. Watch this space as we share Steve's insights and videos!
