“Will Work 4 Food” is coming up, May 18, 2019. This fundraiser is a response to an urgent need. Shelves at the food pantry are empty. Grocery stores leaving the area have created a food desert for some of our neighborhood. There are now a lot of needy families trying to live on half of the food they used to receive. That shouldn’t be happening in our town.

This year our campaign will be a little more aggressive. We’re working on setting up a donation button, to make it as easy as possible for you to support the “Will Work 4 Food” campaign and help these people. If you can help, please bring us your check made out to “Feed My People.”

The “Will Work 4 Food” campaign is in its 11th year and it’s about building a kingdom. We want to do things that are right in this world, so we can make things even better in the next. We should be taking care of each other the best we can. And we should be feeding each other, every chance we get.

So please join us, Saturday, May 18, 2019, 1 to 6 p.m., for the 11th Annual Kingdom Building Tour at Jillys Cafe and Steakhouse, 1630 Gravois Rd., High Ridge, Mo.

This special evening will feature live music courtesy of Scott Koeing and Chris Palazzolo. Activities will include a silent auction, cake (& beer) walk, booze raffle, lottery board raffle and Sue Burton’s “Blue-Ribbon Salsa.”
